The free end of the intestine was clamped between 2 stainless steel plates that were then hanged from the test stand, as shown in Figure 8e. A similar procedure was repeated in terms of the addition of weights, as conducted for the vinyl tube experiments (Section 3.1). Three prototypes of each variant (2 legs, 3 legs and 4 legs) were tested, and the results are shown in Table 1. Similar experiments were repeated for the 19 mm and 21 mm diameters of intestines, but the end caps were compressed by 12 mm in these trials, which increased the effective radius by 7.5 mm.
Not all of these problems could be solved, but so far, great progress has been made. Of course, you have to know that not all of the problems that occurred are the fault of the VRM. For example, we could not use the Insertion Pressure Sensors because they were too expensive. We could also not modify the PHANtoForm tubing (phantom form) because the tool was too expensive. We could also not use a PVC pipe because it was too expensive. Steel and Kryptonite were used to protect the separator from the calculator because the calculator was too expensive.
We could not use a coating that contains silica because the coating was not durable. The surface of the custom-made surgical clamp was not dry enough. DuPont was used for the line and ink because the ink is the most comfortable and environment-friendly. The leg was not crimped during the bending. We could not use Super Foam (BAM-Boge) because the leg was too soft. Inspru was used for the black marker ink because the ink can be used up to 70 degrees. We could not pick a bluish ink because the ink was too expensive. The leg was bent in an unnatural position, we could not shape the slot in a bevel configuration to allow for the clamp to have a wider range of motion, and the plastic cap was too expensive.
Also of course, you have to know that in any product, there is always room for significant improvement. This webpage documents most of the ambitions of the VRM project and I will continue to update it so that it keeps the 3D printer development going. d2c66b5586
