I've never taken to Logic Pro's workflow, preferring GarageBand's straightforward approach. I know, it's not what pros prefer but getting bogged down in production minutia versus actually making music is less of an issue with GarageBand.

In order to do this, the software has to know what noise looks like so it can separate it from the signal (voice). It will definitely provide you with enough power to get started and learn some of the features that most DAW programs have. It can also get you started with using something like a virtual amp rig program, or amp simulator.

Sometimes, our hobbies take over our lives. Other times, we may want to save our money for other things. If you're an Apple fanboy whose ambitions as a musician don't exactly hit the ceiling, you're in luck. Free audio editing software for Mac is all around you. All that you need to do is take a look.
